The back half of Dead of Summer‘s first season will be even crazier than the first.

When cast members Elizabeth Mitchell, Zelda Williams, and Eli Goree dropped by Entertainment Weekly’s lounge at San Diego Comic Con, we asked them to describe the rest of the season in one word. They chose “bonkers,” “bloody,” “manic,” and “Tarantino-y.”

“The season finale is bonkers,” said Mitchell. “But in an entertaining way.”

Goree added, “Every episode it gets more and more ratcheted up. Adam [Horowitz] and Eddy [Kitsis] have done a fantastic job of just making sure it just keep growing and growing.”

Given the nature of this show, you would think that the cast members would be scared of being killed off, but it turns out it’s quite the opposite. “It’s fun to be [killed off]. That’s the thing, and I think everyone who has been has been like ‘Awesome! Did you see? It’s awesome,'” said the Lost alum. Part of the fun of dying comes from the cast dinner that occurs the night before someone’s last shoot.

The cast of the Freeform series also teased the upcoming Joel (Goree) and Deb (Mitchell) flashback episodes. Watch the giggle-filled interview above to learn when we’ll find out what’s inside Deb’s box.

Dead of Summer airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Freeform.
