Curb Your Enthusiasm final trailer wants you to be 'mad he stayed so long'

"Larry is back for one final act" when "Curb Your Enthusiasm" ends with its 12th season next month.

Larry David is ready to stroll off into the sunset as the 12th and final season of Curb Your Enthusiasm will air on Feb. 4 The hilarious trailer teases a slew of Larry's greatest hits, but asks viewers not to be "mad he’s leaving, be mad he stayed so long."

David and co-stars Richard Lewis, Jeff Garlin, Susie Essman, Cheryl Hines, J.B. Smoove, Ted Danson, Vince Vaughn, and Tracey Ullman tease the typical Curb conundrums, along with the same unvarnished humor fans have embraced since the series began in 2000.

"Have you noticed that when you take a picture you don't look nearly as good as you do when you look in the mirror?" Larry ponders to Leon Black (Smoove). "Because the mirror is how you see yourself and the photo is how you're seen."

Leon's mind is blown. "F--- that's deep," he replies.

The trailer is peppered with more trademark moments like that including a very "Larry" observation that something is "pretty, pretty, pretty ... cute."

At one point this season, Larry makes a rather startling revelation – something he hasn't really landed on in the history of the show. "I think this is the happiest I've ever been in my life!" Larry exclaims to Richard Lewis on the golf course. "How is something good happening to me?"

Of course immediately after making this proclamation, Larry slices the ball directly into a nearby golfer's back, taking him down to his knees.

Curb fans can also expect to see the usual parade of special guest stars. This season includes Sean Hayes, Dany Levy, and District 9's Sharlto Copley.

The show, created by and starring the Seinfeld co-creator, made its premiere with an hour-long special in 1999. That was quickly followed by the series debut in the fall of 2000, starting a 12-season run that has garnered 51 Emmy nominations, as well as a Golden Globe for Best Television Series, Comedy or Musical in 2003.

"As Curb comes to an end," David said in December when it was announced that this will be the show's final season, "I will now have the opportunity to finally shed this 'Larry David' persona and become the person God intended me to be — the thoughtful, kind, caring, considerate human being I was until I got derailed by portraying this malignant character."

"And so 'Larry David,' I bid you farewell," he added. "Your misanthropy will not be missed. And for those of you who would like to get in touch with me, you can reach me at Doctors Without Borders."

The final season of Curb Your Enthusiasm premieres on Feb. 4 on HBO.
