David Schwimmer thanks Matthew Perry 'for 10 incredible years of laughter'

The actor paid tribute to his "Friends" costar with a throwback photo from the show's silliest Thanksgiving episode.

David Schwimmer is ready to share his memories of Matthew Perry.

The Friends star previously joined his former costars Jennifer AnistonCourteney CoxLisa Kudrow, and Matt LeBlanc in a joint statement shared two days after Perry's untimely death last month. Now, they're also paying tribute in their own individual ways.

"Matty, thank you for ten incredible years of laughter and creativity," Schwimmer wrote on Instagram.

The photo for Schwimmer's post was taken from the show's season 5 Thanksgiving episode, "The One with all the Thanksgivings." As part of a flashback sequence, he and Perry wore goofy Miami Vice-style '80s outfits that didn't help much when Chandler's toe accidentally got severed by Monica (Cox).

"This photo is from one of my favorite moments with you. Now it makes me smile and grieve at the same time," Schwimmer continued in the caption.

Schwimmer concluded his post with a callback to Chandler's iconic way of emphasizing the word "be" in a rhetorical question: "I imagine you up there, somewhere, in the same white suit, hands in your pockets, looking around — 'Could there BE any more clouds?'”

In her own Instagram tribute from earlier this week, Cox wrote that she was "so grateful for every moment I had with you Matty and I miss you every day." LeBlanc, whose Joey was Chandler's roommate and best friend, said that "the times we had together are honestly among the favorite times of my life."
