Denise Richards accused of lying about her weed dinner experience on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Are you watching this season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills? To be fair, it has its good episodes and its...not-so-good episodes, but tucked in there was another Kyle Richards dinner party for the history books. Know that.

This one included Drop Dead Gorgeous star Denise Richards confrontationally slurring at Erika Jayne (Girardi) during a cannabis-infused dinner (which took two episodes to get through). Richards recently went on Jeff Lewis' Sirius XM radio show and discussed her odd behavior, blaming it on the a-a-a-a-a...weed, despite requesting no trees, please.

That didn't sit too well with the chef from that magical night, who responded with an Instagram post calling out Richards for lying.

"You are such a damn liar, Denise. It's embarrassing and you should be ashamed of yourself," The Herbal Chef, Christopher Sayegh, wrote. He went on to describe his experience with Richards that night, noting that "Denise walked into Kyle's house absolutely obliterated."

"When I was invited to it, I said, 'I can't have weed. I've had weed twice in my life and it doesn't mix well with my system," Richards told Lewis. "It was a sideways night for me." Lewis then suggests that Richards accidentally ingested some weed.

"I have a feeling, but I can't say someone gave, y'know... I don't f---ing know," Richards says, and with some further prodding from Lewis, adds, "I don't know if it was in bottles of, in bottled water, I can't say, whatever. It is what it is. Who cares? I made an asshole out of myself. It's not the first time I've made an asshole out of myself."

Sayegh went on to blast Richards for repeating a similar narrative in "every interview since this episode aired."

"You have acted as if you had no idea what was going on, we must have slipped something in your food... or bottled water?? Really??" Sayegh wrote. "We went over how the evening would go with you and everyone else at the table including specifying how dosage works and that we take our responsibility very seriously — especially when someone would rather abstain from cannabis. It would be detrimental to my business if we left our guests incapacitated, don't you think?"

In an interview with former Real Housewives of New York cast member Bethenny Frankel, Richards said she was feeling sick and had taken "regular cough medicine" in addition to one cocktail, to settle her nerves, before attending Kyle's party.

 "Maybe there was a mix-up in the meal or the water or something. I don't know," Richards said.

Sayegh ended his missive by urging Richards to "take responsibility and have half as much grace as Kyle and Erika and the rest of the gals on that episode."

Denise Richards' behavior at Kyle's weed dinner party was baffling to everyone involved, none more so than Erika Jayne, who bore the brunt of Richards' dazed delivery. Jayne responded to Sayegh's comment with a fire emoji.

Reps for Richards did not respond to EW's request for comment.
