Pedro Pascal continues Kieran Culkin awards gag at Emmys: He 'beat the s--- out of me'

Culkin actually started this whole bit by saying, "Suck it, Pedro!" at the Golden Globes.

What can we say? We love a bit. And Pedro Pascal and Kieran Culkin have one.

On the 2023 Emmys stage, Pascal, who came out to present the award for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, continued a gag that Culkin began at the Golden Globes ceremony earlier this month.

"A lot of people have been asking about my arm," said the star of HBO's The Last of Us, having emerged onstage in an arm sling he's been wearing for weeks at public events. "It's actually my shoulder. And I think tonight is a perfect time to tell everyone that Kieran Culkin..."

The rest of what he said was bleeped out by censors on the live telecast, but the actor said, "Kieran Culkin beat the s--- out of me."

Culkin started this whole friendly exchange of jabs when he appeared onstage during the Golden Globes ceremony to accept the award for Best Lead Actor in a Drama Series. He tossed out, "Suck it, Pedro," during his speech. The two were in contention for the same category at the time, and both Culkin and Pascal are also in the running for the same award at the Emmys.

Pascal still hasn't explained how he got injured, but he noted in various interviews at red carpet events that he fell. "Be careful! ... It can happen to anybody," he told the Associated Press at the Globes ceremony. Still, he manages to make a sling fashionable for photo opps. We wouldn't expect anything less from Internet's (or at least Saturday Night Live's) reigning daddy.
