Jessica Capshaw will return to Grey's Anatomy for season 20

Her character Dr. Arizona Robbins moved back to New York City in the show's season 14 finale.

Dr. Arizona Robbins is officially checking back into Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.

ABC announced at its Winter TCA Press Tour on Saturday that Jessica Capshaw will reprise her role as everyone’s favorite pediatric surgeon on Grey’s Anatomy season 20. She is returning as a guest star on the series alongside fellow alum Alex Landi, a.k.a Dr. Nico Kim.

The veterans are joined by two newcomers: Natalie Morales and Freddy Miyares. The latter will star in a recurring role as Dorian, “an intelligent, warm, and likable patient who is involved in a serious accident and is struggling with his future,” per a press release.

Morales is set to play Monica Beltran, “a pediatric surgeon whose pragmatism and level-headedness have made her one of the best in her field.”

The release continued, “Her willingness to push boundaries can be admirable and aggravating, but it’s always aimed at providing top-quality care to her patients.”

But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. ABC teased that “additional guest star announcements” will be revealed in the future. The series is set to premiere its landmark 20th season on the network on March 14, with episodes streaming the next day on Hulu.

A fan-favorite member of Grey Sloan Memorial’s team since season 5, Arizona made the decision to move to New York City in its season 14 finale. There, she was able to reunite with her daughter, Sofia, as well as her ex-wife, Callie (Sara Ramirez), potentially setting the stage for the couple to get back together.

Landi starred as Nico, the series’ first openly gay male surgeon, for four years on the series. After breaking up with his boyfriend Levi (Jake Borelli), Nico ultimately left Grey Sloan to take a new job with the Seattle Mariners.
