Kieran Culkin still hasn't seen Succession series finale

The Emmy winner didn't watch the episode because, "I couldn’t sign into my Max account."

Don't anyone spoil the ending of Succession for Kieran Culkin! We jest, of course as the actor who portrayed corporate man-boy Roman Roy, Culkin knows fully well how HBO's lauded dramedy concluded.

But at a cast-and-creators Q&A in Los Angeles on Tuesday, the Scott Pilgrim star revealed that he has yet to see show's series finale, which aired last May.

Culkin explained that this viewing omission "wasn’t on purpose, I was in Poland and I couldn’t sign into my Max account. It was an app issue. Then I went on vacation, then after that I was like, eh, that was like three months ago. I want to go back and see it.”

On Sunday, Culkin won the Lead Actor in a Drama Series Emmy for portraying Roman on the fourth and final season of Succession. In the course of his acceptance speech, he reminded his wife, Jazz Charton, of something she had said might happen if Culkin was victorious in his category.

"Thank you for sharing your life with me and for giving me two amazing kids," the actor said, directly addressing Charton, who was sitting in the audience. "And, Jazz, I want more. You said, maybe, if I win."

After leaving the stage, Culkin elaborated on his comments in the press room, explaining that the couple "were just talking about that a couple of months ago. I’ve been asking for a while. My wife, Jazz, said 'maybe if you win the Emmy, ha ha.' I didn’t bring it up for months, and then when I won the Globe, I said, 'Do you remember what you said?' And she goes, 'No! what did I say?' So, I told her, and it all came back to her. So, she spent the whole week being nervous. So, instead of talking to her in private like a human, I blasted it on stage, which was very rude. That’s it. That’s the whole story."

Asked if he would consider naming a third child "Roman" Culkin replied, "No. Nor Emmy nor any other cute little thing."

During the Succession cast Q&A, Brian Cox also noted the he felt shortchanged by his character, patriarch Logan Roy, getting killed off earlier in the season. "I was given he ultimate short shrift: 'Get the f--- off the set. We don't want to see you anymore. We've had enough of you. You've done enough damage to this whole f---ing production. We're killing you off. That's it,'" he joked of showrunner Jesse Armstrong telling him. "And I said, 'Jesse, that is absolutely fine. I'm very happy with that decision. I think it's one of the best decisions you've possibly made during this whole f---ing production.'"
