RHOSLC star Lisa Barlow says son Jack has been hospitalized on his mission

Just a few weeks ago, we watched Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Lisa Barlow shop at Modern Missionary Menswear with her son, Jack, as he prepared to head out for his Mormon mission to Colombia. "You know what's going to be hard for me? Not having you here for Christmas," she told Jack.

And now with Christmas just a few days away, Lisa just revealed that Jack has been hospitalized on his mission. "I miss Jack every day," she posted on X (formerly Twitter) on December 19. "He's been in the hospital three days and it's killing me not being there."

When asked why Jack was hospitalized, Lisa replied "they're figuring it out" and that her family will "know more tomorrow" about whether they can visit him. (According to the Missionary Standards Manual from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, "Generally, family and friends should not visit you during your mission. However, under special circumstances, your mission president may approve an exception.")

Earlier in the season, Lisa and her husband, John, held a party to reveal the destination of Jack's mission. The mission had been a source of tension between Barlow and her cast mate Heather Gay, who left the Church and penned a bestselling memoir called Bad Mormon, though they later made up.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
