Live audience boos Mark Consuelos for stumping a firefighter

Consuelos faced off against a firefighter during the fan-favorite "Stump Mark" game — and his victory didn't go over well with Kelly Ripa or the crowd.

Mark Consuelos lit the Live audience's fuse during a hilariously shady round of the fan-favorite Stump Mark trivia game with a firefighter, after the in-studio crowd turned on the actor and booed him on the air.

The morning talk show heartthrob and husband to cohost longtime Live personality Kelly Ripa riled up the couple's studio audience Wednesday morning — and, this time, it wasn't because of a televised foot massage or a skimpy wrestling singlet.

Consuelos faced off against a New Jersey firefighter on the latest edition of Stump Mark — a mini game that sees contestants call in to present Consuelos with two scenarios about their lives, followed by the star attempting to uncover which one is a lie.

"Let me just say this. I'm going to say something right now," Ripa said at the top of the game, after the New Jersey-based viewer named Joe revealed his profession. "If you [Mark] rob Joe of this mug and t-shirt? You, sir, are a monster."

Consuelos replied: "He is a first responder, so I'll take that into consideration."

Joe then presented his stories to Consuelos, including a claim that he was once with Bruce Springsteen when his front tooth got knocked out, and another that indicated he replaced his son's varsity wrestling coach. Consuelos guessed the latter option, which turned out to be the correct choice, and the audience promptly booed him.

"How the audience has turned on you," Ripa joked, but the tide also turned in Joe's favor, as he eventually won a vacation after competing in the show's follow-up trivia round.
