Dwayne Johnson slams some male Fast 8 costars as 'candy asses'

Some actors on the set of Fast 8 may have found themselves between the Rock and a hard place.

In an uncharacteristically tetchy post shared on social media Monday, action hero Dwayne Johnson vented about unnamed male costars who have allegedly demonstrated a lack of professionalism while making the high-octane sequel — enough to get his blood “legit boiling.”

In his final week of shooting, Johnson praised the film’s “incredible hard working crew,” the studio brass at Universal, and his “always amazing” female costars.

But his male peers, he said, “are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chicken s-‑‑ to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling — you’re right.”

To underscore his point, Johnson included a clip of him in character as Hobbs, in which he tosses a prison guard like a rag doll and scowls.

Fast 8 features an ensemble cast including Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Kurt Russell, Jason Statham, Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren, and Scott Eastwood. The film is scheduled to hit theaters April 14.
