The Weinstein Company has lined up two of its upcoming films for a possible awards season run.

On Friday, the studio announced release dates for Mary Magdalene and The Current War.

Set for a limited release on Nov. 24 is Mary Magdalene, the biblical biopic from Lion director Garth Davis. The film will star Rooney Mara as the titular Mary and Joaquin Phoenix as Jesus, with the duo making the journey to Jerusalem.

The Current War has been positioned for a limited release on Dec. 22, sliding it in under the wire for Academy Awards consideration. Alfonso Gomez Rejon’s (Me and Earl and the Dying Girl) film follows the race in the late 19th century to bring electricity to the United States. At the center of the story are rivals and legendary inventors Thomas Edison (Benedict Cumberbatch) and George Westinghouse (Michael Shannon). Katherine Waterston, Nicholas Hoult, and Tom Holland are also onboard.

The studio also announced that Wind River, the directorial debut of Oscar-nominated screenwriter Taylor Sheridan (Hell or High Water), will open Aug. 4. The thriller follows a rookie FBI agent (Elizabeth Olsen) and local game tracker with a haunted past (Jeremy Renner) as they investigate the murder of a local girl on a remote Native American Reservation.
