Adam Sandler, Dustin Hoffman sing together in The Meyerowitz Stories teaser

Noah Baumbach's latest film hits Netflix Oct. 13

Early buzz for The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected), Noah Baumbach’s newest film that premiered at Cannes earlier this year and will hit Netflix in October, has been about the movie’s great use of star Adam Sandler. After spending a few years in goofy Netflix comedies like The Ridiculous Six, Sandler here puts his skills to use in critically-acclaimed ways. One of those skills is singing — the new teaser for The Meyerowitz Stories features Sandler singing alongside the other members of his fictional family: Dustin Hoffman, Ben Stiller, and Elizabeth Marvel.

The video is short, and only gives a brief preview of each character, but the setup has middle-aged siblings coming to terms with the influence of their father (Hoffman) ahead of the latter’s upcoming art exhibition. The trailer shows both real warmth between the characters, and the dysfunction bubbling underneath. The film’s packed cast also includes the likes of Emma Thompson, Adam Driver, and Judd Hirsch, among others.

The Meyerowitz Stories hits Netflix on Oct. 13. Watch the trailer above.
