James Woods responds to Armie Hammer, Amber Tamblyn clap-back

The day-long Twitter feud between James Woods, Armie Hammer, and Amber Tamblyn continued as Woods responded to the actors' clap-backs for dissing Call Me By Your Name.

The timeline of events on Monday saw Woods retweeting a jab at the Oscar-buzzing film, about a romantic affair between a 17-year-old boy and his father's 24-year-old assistant in Italy. "As they quietly chip away the last barriers of decency," Woods wrote with the hashtag for NAMBLA, which was followed by Hammer asking, "Didn't you date a 19-year-old when you were 60…….?"

Hammer was referring to Kristen Bauguess, who, according to multiple reports, started dating Woods in 2013 when she was 20 and he was 66.

Tamblyn then joined the fray by claiming, "James Woods tried to pick me and my friend up at a restaurant once. He wanted to take us to Vegas. 'I'm 16' I said. 'Even better' he said."

Later that evening, Woods replied to both statements. "The first is illegal," he tweeted at a user over the characters' age gap in the film. "The second is a lie," he added over Tamblyn's claim. Woods also addressed the "yelping" liberals and "troll traffic" surrounding his initial response, but stated, "I like Armie Hammer as an actor though. A lot."

"Final word on this," he tweeted before dropping off Twitter for the day, "I don't give a sh– what liberals think."

Hammer has been promoting Call Me By Your Name with director Luca Guadagnino and costar Timothee Chalamet at various film festivals. The work recently screened at the Toronto International Film Festival and will soon to come to the one in New York.

"I can't think of another movie where two men are so openly and honestly with each other. We made a movie that's so tender and enjoyable, it can bridge gaps," Hammer said.

Call Me By Your Name opens in theaters on Nov. 24.
