Watch the trailer for one of Anton Yelchin's final roles

The late 'Star Trek' actor stars in 'Porto'

The soulful, idiosyncratic actor Anton Yelchin died in June 2016 but left behind a legacy of great performances — in Like Crazy, Alpha Dog, Star Trek, Only Lovers Left Alive, and Green Room, among others. And he had completed work on several project as yet unreleased, including the romantic drama Porto. Check out the trailer above and the film’s official poster below.

In Porto, Yelchin plays an American loner named Jake who makes a connection with a French student, Mati (Lucie Lucas), in the Portuguese city of the film’s title. According to the official plot description, “This experience is looked at years later using fragments from Mati and Jake’s lives apart, both of them still haunted by the powerful moments they shared. Working backwards and forward with time, and alternating a narrow and wide visual canvas, Porto reveals the depths of a surprising encounter, eventually settling into the one unforgettable night when Mati and Jake chanced upon feelings of love and passion that they never thought were possible.”
