The Shape of Water, Guillermo del Toro transform into fishy Funko Pop! figures

The director himself is immortalized in Pop! form

There’s something fishy about the new additions to the Funko family.

The Shape of Water, Guillermo del Toro‘s fantastical love story about a mute janitor and an amphibian creature from some black lagoon, have been transformed into three new Funko Pop! figures, as shown in EW’s exclusive first-look images.

Sally Hawkins‘ Oscar-nominated role of Elisa gets a pint-sized version, complete with the mop she used to clean around the creature’s tank. The creature itself, portrayed by Doug Jones, also gets the Pop! treatment as he floats on his own stand. The skin of this figure features glowing golden spots, a nod to a certain aspect of the creature from the film.

Rounding out this new trio is the filmmaker himself: del Toro, who directed and co-wrote the screenplay for The Shape of Water with Vanessa Taylor, is now immortalized with his own collectible figure.

Other works from the director — including Crimson Peak, Hellboy, and Netflix’s Trollhunters — have inspired other previously released figures from Funko.

The Shape of Water follows Elisa, who works at a secret government facility that houses a newly discovered amphibian species. Over time, she falls in love with this creature and eventually tries to set him free. Octavia Spencer, Richard Jenkins, and Michael Shannon also star.

The film is nominated for 13 awards at this Sunday’s Oscars, including in categories for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Supporting Actor.
