Ryan Reynolds thanks fans for seeing Deadpool 2 with help from The Golden Girls

Ryan Reynolds wants to thank you for being a friend!

In a video posted to the Deadpool 2 star’s Instagram page, clips of Wade Wilson as Deadpool (Reynolds), Nathan Summers as Cable (Josh Brolin), Neena Thurman as Domino (Zazie Beetz) and others are cut together to create a Deadpool edition of the The Golden Girls opening credits. It’s the coming together of two worlds you never thought would collide! Do we think Betty White would approve?

“Everyone seeing #deadpool2 this weekend: Thank You For Being A Friend,” the actor wrote on social media.

Directed by David Leitch, Deadpool 2, which is currently in theaters, is the second installment in the irreverent superhero franchise that stars Reynolds as the Merc with the Mouth, who forms a special elite team called X-Force to protect a young mutant from a cybernetic soldier.
