Tom Hanks, Tim Allen got 'emotional' recording final lines for Toy Story 4

Tom Hanks and Tim Allen have traveled to infinity and beyond for the last time for Toy Story 4.

The Toy Story actors — who’ve voiced beloved franchise leads Woody and Buzz Lightyear across three previous films since 1995 — celebrated their final day recording lines for the upcoming sequel with a series of photos and tweets from production.

“Final line, final session as Woody of Toy Story 4,” Hanks tweeted Wednesday alongside a snapshot of himself in a recording booth. “We rode like the wind, to infinity and beyond.”

“Finished my Buzz for Toy Story 4 today and it got emotional,” Allen added in a tweet of his own. “Wonderful full body story. You are all going to love the work this incredible team at Pixar created. We are all going to love this story….man its got everything.”

Tony Hale, who voices new character Forky, also commemorated his Toy Story 4 experience in a short social media message, captioning a photo with, “Final day recording Toy Story 4 with these wonderful people. Can’t wait for everyone to see it! #forkylives.”

In addition to the plastic utensil voiced by Hale, Toy Story 4 will introduce a pair of stuffed animals, Ducky and Bunny, voiced by Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key. Allen previously teased that actor Keanu Reeves has a mystery role in the project alongside returning characters like Bo Peep (Annie Potts), Jessie (Joan Cusack), Slinky Dog (Blake Clark), Rex (Wallace Shawn), Hamm (John Ratzenberger), Barbie (Jodi Benson), and Dolly (Bonnie Hunt).

According to the Toy Story 4 Twitter account, a new sneak peek at the sequel will air Sunday after the Super Bowl ahead of the film’s June 21 theatrical release date.
