Watch Taron Egerton and Elton John perform 'Tiny Dancer' together at Oscars party

Bohemian Rhapsody may have captured four prizes at Sunday’s Oscars, but it wasn’t the only music biopic to get its moment in the spotlight that night.

During the annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards viewing party, John and Taron Egerton, who is playing the music icon in the upcoming film Rocketman, took the stage together to perform the singer’s hit “Tiny Dancer.”

The moment came following bidding on a trip to the London premiere of the upcoming film, according to a release from Paramount Pictures. When Egerton was asked if he’d sing one of John’s songs, he agreed to do so only if John accompanied him on the piano — which he did, beginning with the unforgettable opening notes of that iconic song.

Rocketman, directed by Dexter Fletcher, follows the early years of John’s incredible career. The film — which released its first full trailer last week — also stars Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot) as John’s longtime lyricist and writing partner Bernie Taupin, Richard Madden (Game of Thrones) as his first manager, and Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World) as the singer’s mother.

Check out John and Egerton performing at the gala (which raised more than $6.3 million for the global effort to end AIDS) above. Rocketman rocks its way into theaters on May 31.
