It's hard to believe it's been 10 years since a heartbroken Peter Bretter (Jason Segel) went to Hawaii to take his mind off his titular TV star ex-girlfriend (Kristen Bell) in Forgetting Sarah Marshall — only to end up staying at the same hotel as her and her rock-star beau, Aldous Snow (Russell Brand). Written by Segel, the film would become the latest entry in a string of Judd Apatow-produced comedy hits, helping propel much of the cast to new heights. And while Segel, Bell, and Mila Kunis were the headliners, it was a crew of scene-stealers that earned the biggest laughs — and proved to be truly unforgettable.

8. Jason Bateman as Animal Instincts detective

Sorry, superhero movies, but you don't own the post-credits scene. While Forgetting Sarah Marshall gives us closure on Peter and Rachel (Kunis), we get a much-needed update on Sarah's career during the credits, via a tease of her new starring vehicle Animal Instincts. Out is William Baldwin (more on him soon), and in is Jason Bateman, with the Arrested Development star playing the partner of Marshall's animal psychic detective. A small sample of their roaring chemistry: "Life's a bitch," Marshall's character tells their perp, to which Bateman's character adds, "And where you're going, that's exactly what you'll be."

7. Da'Vone McDonald as Dwayne

How many fish can you name? Unless you're Aquaman, I bet it's not as many as Dwayne, the hotel's bartender, fish expert, and "sea turtle f‑‑‑ing season" aficionado. "They f‑‑‑ for three hours," he tells Peter and Rachel. With facts like that, it's baffling he can't find anyone to go snorkeling with him.

6. William Baldwin as himself/Det. Hunter Rush

As previously discussed at length, David Caruso is the king of saying an epic one-liner as he throws on a pair of shades. And the ultimate spoof of CSI: Miami’s Horatio Caine belongs to Baldwin and his portrayal of Crime Scene: Scene of the Crime detective Hunter Rush, the original TV partner of Sarah Marshall. With insane crimes like a victim's penis being found behing an AC unit, Rush can't help but slide on his sunglasses and declare, "Ouch, can you say, dicksicle?" Can you believe this show got canceled?

5. Bill Hader and Liz Cackowski as Brian and Liz Bretter

Like another forthcoming couple, these two can't be separated in the rankings, since much of their scene-stealing comes as a team. Whether it's Brian's shrieks as Peter awkwardly interrupts Sarah and Aldous' makeout session or Liz's Skype drop-ins with important advice for Peter (like to iron his T-shirts), the Bretters make the most of their screen time. Just don't insult Liz, or insinuate that your significant other is better than her, because Brian will "have no qualms with sticking you!"

4. Jonah Hill as Matthew Van Der Wyk

Before he was a two-time Oscar nominee, Jonah Hill was bursting on the scene as Judd Apatow's newest comedy asset, appearing in Knocked Up, Superbad, Walk Hard, and Sarah Marshall over a one-year span. As the hotel's weed-dealing, Aldous Snow-obsessed waiter, Hill showed such great chemistry with Brand that they earned a spin-off, albeit with Hill playing a new character. But it's probably for the best that Matthew wasn't reunited with Aldous, since he would constantly be going "from 6 to midnight."

3. Jack McBrayer and Maria Thayer as Darald and Wyoma Braden

"What is into you?" Darald asks his affectionate new wife, Wyoma. "Not me … yet." That about sums up these virgin newlyweds on their honeymoon. While Wyoma is excited to have sex, the same can't be said for Darald, who posits, “If God was a city planner, he would not put a playground next to a sewage system." But thanks to some hands-on lessons from Aldous, Darald seems well on his way to finally finding "the mythical clitoris."

2. Paul Rudd as Chuck, a.k.a. Kunu

Here are some facts about Peter's surf instructor:

• He doesn't believe in age or numbers, but if he had to guess, then he's probably 44 years old.
• He stopped wearing a watch when he moved to Hawaii, but only because his phone has a clock on it.
• Rachel's ex beat him with a starfish.
• He has a terrible memory (or Peter is the anti-Sarah and is just very forgettable).
• His life motto is, “When life gives you lemons, just say, ‘F‑‑‑ the lemons,’ and bail.”

1. Russell Brand as Aldous Snow

The No. 1 rule of scene-stealing: If you do it well enough, you'll get your own movie. And Russell Brand's American film debut more than accomplished that. On paper, the rock star who cheated with the protagonist's girlfriend should be easy to hate. But like Peter, we couldn't help but love Infant Sorrow frontman and Tommy Bahama hater (the shirt, not the man) Aldous Snow. Take away his wealth and fame and Aldous is just a man looking for his missing sandal and a queen for the Sorrow Suckers ("I don't know why they call them that"). Thankfully, his search for both continued in 2010's Get Him to the Greek, which taught us that you should always be scared of a Jeffrey.
