John Heard died on July 21 at age 72. The character actor made dozens of film and television appearances throughout the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s, and is perhaps best remembered for playing Kevin McCallister's dad in the 1990 blockbuster favorite Home Alone (pictured) and its sequel, Home Alone: Lost in New York.
