Taylor Swift director Joseph Kahn: 'Beyoncé copied' her 'Bad Blood' video

The director thinks the internet has it the other way around

Well, this will probably not end well: In a new interview with the Los Angeles Times, Joseph Kahn, the director of Taylor Swift’s video for “Look What You Made Me Do,” addressed the accusations that Swift ripped off imagery from Beyoncé’s “Formation.”

“It’s not ‘Formation’ at all,” Kahn said during an interview about his new film Bodied, premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival. “They try to say she’s wearing a black crop top and Beyoncé wore a black crop top. But they don’t realize in 2015 in ‘Bad Blood,’ Taylor Swift was wearing a black crop top. I really do think, by the way, that Beyoncé copied ‘Bad Blood.'”

Kahn has since responded to the interview via Twitter.

Prior to the premiere of “Look What You Made Me Do” during the MTV Video Music Awards last month, the internet reacted to a preview of the Easter-egg packed clip on Good Morning America with claims that the video ripped off the iconic Beyoncé visuals.

Our thoughts are with Joseph Kahn during this difficult time. CUE THE BEYHIVE.
