Ariana Grande remembers Manchester bombing victims on 'challenging' anniversary

On the one year anniversary, Ariana Grande has paid tribute to the 22 innocent victims killed by a terrorist attack at her concert in Manchester, United Kingdom.

In commemoration of the lives lost on May 22, 2017 after a suicide bomber detonated an explosive device in the foyer of the 21,000-seat venue, Grande shared a brief message on Twitter.

“Thinking of you all today and every day,” she wrote, additionally sharing a bumblebee emoji, which has long served as an emblem of the European city’s roots as a hard-working, resilient area.

“I love you with all of me and am sending you all of the light and warmth I have to offer on this challenging day,” Grande’s message concluded.

In the immediate aftermath of the incident, which occurred just as Grande’s Dangerous Woman tour stop was letting out, the singer tweeted that she was “broken” and didn’t “have words” to describe her feelings on the matter, and later postponed the remainder of her 2017 concert dates.

Several days after the attack, Grande hosted a benefit concert on June 4, 2017 titled One Love Manchester, which united pop acts such as Niall Horan, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Take That, Stevie Wonder, Little Mix, The Black Eyed Peas, Justin Bieber, Pharrell Williams, and Coldplay to perform for proceeds benefitting the British Red Cross and the support of victims and their families.

Grande further re-issued her 2014 single “One Last Time” in June 2017 in honor of the victims, with the charity single’s profits going to the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund, again in support of victims and their families.
