Weezer performs barbershop quartet version of 'Buddy Holly' on Tonight Show

Weezer is celebrating the forthcoming release of their latest album in style.

The group wore yellow, red, and green pin-stripped blazers with bow ties for a barbershop quartet version of “Buddy Holly” with the The Ragtime Gals during an appearance on The Tonight Show Tuesday evening.

The four band members, (frontman Rivers Cuomo, guitarist Brian Bell, bassist Scott Shriner, and drummer Patrick Wilson) were joined by host Jimmy Fallon, Chris Tartaro, and Tom Shillue to round out an acapella performance of the 1994 hit.

Later in the show, Weezer played their newest single “Living in L.A.” The song is the fourth track to be released from their upcoming 13th LP Weezer, (also known as the Black Album), along with “Can’t Knock the Hustle,” “Zombie Bastards,” and “High as a Kite.” The band is set to a co-headline a North American tour with The Pixies, launching March 8 in Louisville, Kentucky and wrapping up in Chattanooga, Tennessee on May 29, before heading overseas. Hey, can’t knock the hustle.

Weezer (Black Album)debuts on March 1.
