Mick Jagger is 'feeling much better now' after medical treatment

Last month, the Rolling Stones announced they were postponing an upcoming North American tour due to singer Mick Jagger‘s need for “medical treatment.” Jagger has now undergone that treatment, and tweeted a positive update to his followers.

“Thank you everyone for all your messages of support, I’m feeling much better now and on the mend — and also a huge thank you to all the hospital staff for doing a superb job,” Jagger wrote on Twitter Friday.

In a statement to EW, the Rolling Stones confirmed that the operation had gone well. Rolling Stone previously reported that the operation involved surgery to replace a heart valve.

“Mick Jagger has successfully undergone treatment,” the band said in a statement. “He is doing very well and is expected to make a full recovery.”

There is no announcement yet on when the delayed tour dates will be rescheduled.
