June Gloom has come early to Los Angeles, so we might as well start celebrating summer — and what better way to prepare for the sunny season than with Entertainment Weekly's Summer Movie Preview. We kicked things off on Wednesday with our cover story featuring Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga stars Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth and will continue with dozens of exclusives through next week. The Fall Guy

Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt bring explosive chemistry (and literal explosions!) to this delightful action blockbuster about a down-on-his-luck stuntman (Gosling) who tries to rescue his director ex-girlfriend’s (Blunt) movie after her star (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) goes missing. Not only is it a love letter to stunt performers — the underappreciated heroes of moviemaking — but it's the rare role that takes advantage of Gosling's talents, fusing the romance of The Notebook, the comedy of The Nice Guys, and the action skills of Blade Runner 2049. The Idea of You

Temperatures are rising, so indulge in the boy-band bliss and age-gap romance of this Robinne Lee novel adaptation. The Prime Video film follows 40-year-old art dealer Solène (Anne Hathaway) and twenty-something heartthrob Hayes (Nicholas Galitzine) through an unexpected entanglement. A win for the Make Movies Sexy Again crowd, it's as light, refreshing, and fun as a poolside popsicle. —Maureen Lee Lenker, Senior Writer

Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar

Award-winning Indian director Sanjay Leela Bhansali goes Bollywood big with his first-ever streaming project, an eight-episode Netflix musical drama set in 1940s Lahore. This lavish tale of dueling courtesans (Manisha Koirala and Sonakshi Sinha), tragic young lovers (Sharmin Segal and Taha Shah Badussha), and India's fight for independence from Britain is as engrossing as it is epic. —Kristen Baldwin, TV Critic

Dua Lipa’s Radical Optimism

Since her epic opening performance at the Grammys in February, I've been counting down the days until the singer's third studio album release. Launched with singles "Houdini" and "Training Season," the 11-track record is sure to provide splashy pop hits for the summer that’s right around the corner.
