One Chicago fans have a lot to be excited about. For one thing, Chicago P.D., Chicago Fire, and Chicago Med are all set to return to NBC on January 17, after a nearly eight-month hiatus that occurred due to the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. And when those shows return, they're bringing some familiar faces with them.

EW has an exclusive look at the new seasons as the stars share what it's been like to return to set after so long away.

Chicago Fire star Taylor Kinney, who took a leave of absence from the show in January of 2023, is finally back as resident badass Kelly Severide. "It's a welcome back for everybody," Kinney says in the video (which can be watched below). And that includes his costar Kara Killmer, who is set to exit at some point during the upcoming twelfth season (hopefully to get a happy ending with Jesse Spencer's Casey). As Killmer says, "We have been picking up right where we left off."

Meanwhile, Chicago P.D. star LaRoyce Hawkins promises "the best season we've ever had," which should give fans a bit of hope considering it's also a farewell season for Tracy Spiridakos.

Together, the stars of all three One Chicago shows guarantee drama, action, heartbreak, more action, romance, and — you guessed it — more action!

One Chicago returns Wednesday, Jan. 17 to NBC.
