Porn star Austin Wolf arrested, charged with receiving 'hundreds of videos' of child pornography

Porn star Austin Wolf was been arrested and charged in New York after allegedly receiving and distributing "hundreds of videos of child pornography," according to federal officials.

Wolf, whose government name is Justin Heath Smith, was taken into custody after an investigation found that he allegedly used the Telegram instant-messaging application to send and receive the videos. Per Damian Williams, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, and James Smith, Assistant Director of the FBI's New York field office, the videos "depicted children as young as infants, including a video showing a 10-year-old child bound and raped."

In addition to the videos he reportedly shared on Telegram, the 43-year-old was also charged with possessing an additional amount of child pornography videos inside his Manhattan apartment.

Between March 24 and March 28, Wolf allegedly used an anonymous Telegram account to exchange the child pornography videos with another unidentified person. An undercover FBI agent began a conversation with Wolf, who reportedly revealed to the agent details that the agency said confirmed the star's identity.

On April 21, 2024, the FBI indicated that it executed a search warrant in Wolf's apartment, where it allegedly uncovered an SD card with the child pornography videos.

“As alleged, Justin Heath Smith received and distributed hundreds of recordings containing child pornography, including a ghastly video showing a young child bound, beaten, and raped. Our investigation into Smith is ongoing, and we urge anyone with information about Smith’s conduct to call the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI," Williams said in a statement. "Together with our law enforcement partners, we will relentlessly pursue those predators who victimize children and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law."

Wolf is charged with one count of distribution and receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography. The charges carry a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison and a maximum of 20 years and 10 years in prison, respectively.

Wolf is set to appear Friday before U.S. Magistrate Judge Robyn F. Tarnofsky in Manhattan.

A representative for the U.S. Attorney's office tells Entertainment Weekly that the agency "will not be providing the mugshot in this case." EW has reached out to Wolf for comment

Prior to his arrest, Wolf rose to prominence as a popular actor in gay pornographic films, and he is popular on both adult film websites and on subscription services like OnlyFans.
