Rob Lowe texted Bradley Cooper congratulations after he lost award thinking it was Robert Downey Jr.

"I'm making the guy feel worse," said the "9-1-1: Lone Star" actor, who meant to write Downey but accidentally sent his message to Cooper instead.

Rob Lowe is shedding light on a recent text he sent that quickly went off the rails.

The 9-1-1: Lone Star actor revealed that he was thrilled to send a congratulatory message to Robert Downey Jr. after his Golden Globes win earlier this month. The only problem? He accidentally sent it to Bradley Cooper, who did not win in his category.

“Downey does this amazing acceptance speech at the Golden Globes, and I’m so excited for him so I text him, ‘So glad you won. That is the most beautiful acceptance speech I’ve heard in a long time. Boy, do you deserve it,’” Lowe recalled on Wednesday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live. “I hit it and I realize, ‘Oh s---. I just sent that to Bradley Cooper.’”

Cooper, who was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture — Drama, lost the award to Oppenheimer star Cillian Murphy.

In an attempt to fix his text snafu, a panicking Lowe sent a second text.

“I said, ‘No, no, I meant that for Robert Downey Jr,’” he said. “Now that’s even worse! I made the guy feel worse! It was terrible.”

Lowe explained that this happened because he accidentally "inputted the wrong numbers into the wrong names” on his phone.

When host Jimmy Kimmel informed him that it’s possible to unsend messages now, the actor replied, “I didn’t know! Now I know."

To make matters worse, Lowe’s follow-up attempt to text Downey his support didn’t go well either. “I did it again!” he exclaimed. “I mistakenly sent another one to Bradley again!”

“Does he just think you’re crazy?” Kimmel asked.

On the contrary — Lowe said the Maestro star took it all in stride. “He literally said, ‘No, no, no. It’s fine. I like living vicariously through these mistakes.’”
