Untucked lounge returns with fun RuPaul's Drag Race references — including Ornacia and Lil Poundcake!

Anetra's trophy, Jan's Shade button, a nod to an iconic dress worn by Alaska and Silky Nutmeg Ganache, and more Easter eggs popped up in the made-over "Untucked" lounge.

The Untucked lounge is in its Winter Green era, as RuPaul's Drag Race's prime spot for kikis and clashes debuted with a Maxi challenge-sized makeover on Friday's season 16 premiere.

For the first time since Drag Race's COVID era, the Untucked lounge returned on the first of the show's two-part debut, which saw seven new queens — Amanda Tori Meating, Dawn, Mirage, Morphine Love Dion, Q, Sapphira Cristál, and Xunami Muse — sashay from the Main Stage into the freshly pumped backstage space to film the Untucked companion series, all while discovering hidden gems among the new area's dressings, including several references to past contestants and fan-favorite moments.

"The Untucked lounge is back and different than before. It looks absolutely incredible," Xunami Muse — drag daughter of season 13 and All Stars 8 finalist Kandy Muse — said upon entering the room. "I'm excited to just relax and share what we think."

Immediately upon strutting into the lounge, Dawn of course smashed the giant Shade button in the corner, recalling Jan's recurring meme from season 12. The queens also immediately pointed out the revival of Lil Poundcake, All Stars 2 winner Alaska's adopted daughter she created alongside Lineysha Sparx on the season 5 Little Miss Drag Pageant mini challenge — and who had a starring role in the Forensic Queens acting challenge on last summer's All Stars 8.

Speaking of Alaska, the show also placed two huge cockroaches on the glittery pink Untucked walls, recalling the iconic pink dress adorned with roaches worn by Ricki Lake in the original Hairspray movie, that Alaska wore a version of at the All Stars 2 reunion, as did Silky Nutmeg Ganache at the season 11 finale event.

Lil Poundcake isn't the only inanimate persona back for more Drag Race; we also get an appearance from Ornacia, season 6 queen Vivacious' iconic doll head who was last seen in season 15's two-part premiere, worn by both Vivacious and guest host Ariana Grande.

Though Ornacia can be seen looming over a mannequin (wearing RuPaul's signature words: charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent) at the back of the set when the queens first enter the lounge as well as in a wide shot of the group sitting on the Untucked couches (see photo above), she doesn't appear in any of the close-ups of the same human-sized figure behind the couches. Perhaps one of this season's queens quickly snatched her up?

Other Drag Race references found in the new Untucked lounge include a large trophy propped up on one of the makeup stations (an apparent nod to the trophy Anetra won during a season 15 mini challenge) and RuPaul's recurring hip pad boxes stacked near the entrance.

RuPaul's Drag Race season 16 continues Fridays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
