Police in Flagstaff, Ariz., confirmed to EW that officers responded to a call at Garrison's home Tuesday and found him deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. There was no indication of foul play, and detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division are investigating.

Garrison had been a part of the TLC reality series Sister Wives, which follows the lives of a polygamist family, since the show's premiere in 2010. The family includes Kody and his wife, Robyn; his ex-wives Janelle, Christine, and Meri; and 18 children. Janelle and Kody also share daughters Maddie and Savannah and sons Logan, Hunter, and Gabe.

A TLC spokesperson said Tuesday in a statement provided to EW, "We are devastated to hear of the tragic loss of Garrison Brown. We extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the Brown family at this difficult time."
