Meghan McCain goes on The View rant, calls Ana Navarro a 'surrogate for Biden campaign'

John McCain's daughter is still "pissed" at Navarro for suggesting during a live "View" episode that past cohosts "influence-peddled" on famous last names.

Meghan McCain — who famously and regularly says she doesn't like speaking about The View — once again brought up The View during an incendiary rant on her Meghan McCain Has Entered the Chat podcast.

The 39-year-old daughter of the late Senator John McCain told guest Joe Concha on Thursday's episode that she's "still pissed off" about a perceived slight against her that occurred on The View in December, when McCain's former colleague and current View cohost Ana Navarro suggested — within a larger discussion about Hunter Biden's ongoing legal troubles — that unnamed ex-View cohosts have attempted to "influence-peddle" on their famous last names.

"I don't love talking about The View all the time," McCain said before bringing up The View for at least the fourth time since launching her podcast in October. "After the recent kerfuffle, which happened about a month ago, I'm still in the middle of trying to get an apology from being compared to Hunter Biden, which I take very seriously. I've never been accused of a crime in my life, I've never touched a drug in my life, I've never gone to rehab, I've never cheated on anyone, I've ever dated because when I was growing up, my parents said, 'Don't lie, steal, or cheat, and everything else is fair game.'"

She again stressed to her listeners that she's not comparable to Joe Biden's son, and called Navarro's words "deeply offensive" to both McCain and her children.

"I think it's chickens--- that people on the left can't come up with some kind of better talking point to cover for his s----y behavior and his criminal behavior than somehow rope me into this. I have nothing to do with any of this, but you want to act like his behavior is okay. We know it's not," she said, before training her focus back to The View. "I didn't realize when I signed up to be on The View that I'd be talked about yers and years after, on the show, by people I used to work with."

When Concha began criticizing Navarro, who is a Republican, for not upholding Republican beliefs, McCain not only agreed, but took the sentiment one step further: "She's a surrogate for the Biden campaign. A literal surrogate."

McCain circled back to Hunter by bringing up drug usage and telling Concha that "it would be more comfortable for my ex-colleagues if I were a crackhead, an ex-crackhead, who was stealing money, than apparently just living my life and having a career."

EW has reached out to a representative for The View for comment from both the show and Navarro.

Following Navarro's initial comment in December, McCain tweeted that she would be "consulting" her lawyers before deciding how to proceed.

"I don’t understand why my former colleagues @TheView bring me up and slander me on an almost weekly basis. It has been years — move on, I have," McCain tweeted, despite frequently naming the show in multiple interviews, in personal essays, and on her podcast since leaving the show in late 2021 after several high-profile squabbles with cohosts, ranging from Joy Behar to Whoopi Goldberg.

Also in December, View star Sara Haines and comedian Matt Rogers discussed an unnamed former cohost who allegedly made some of the current panelists "uncomfortable," Haines said, with many viewers assuming she meant McCain.
