Sunny Hostin stuns The View host for calling Joe Biden weak: 'You worked for Donald Trump'

Hostin called out Alyssa Farah Griffin's past career at the White House after Griffin said Biden was "one of the weakest presidents" in her lifetime.

Sunny Hostin just gagged Alyssa Farah Griffin with The View cohost's own political history.

During a heated debate about Joe Biden's mental fitness to hold office ahead of the November presidential election, Griffin — who previously worked for both Mike Pence and Donald Trump's White House communications team, before resigning in 2020 — posed the idea that Biden isn't an ideal candidate for the country.

"This is not Barack Obama. I think Democrats have to wake up to the fact that especially young people are watching and they’re seeing one of the weakest presidents in my lifetime, he’s a good man, he’s a decent man, he has had accomplishments," Griffin said, before Hostin cut in.

"One of the weakest presidents in your lifetime and you worked for Donald Trump?" Hostin questioned Griffin.

The View studio audience erupted with applause after Hostin made the observation, which clearly stunned Griffin who took a moment to get back on track.

She held her hand up to Hostin in the moment, and jabbed back that Hostin's quip was a "great laugh line" for applause. "I don’t want to be here after election day and Donald Trump won because you guys didn’t wake up ..." Griffin said, though the other cohosts began to speak before she could finish the point.

Griffin first joined The View as a permanent cohost alongside Ana Navarro in late 2022, with both occupying the Republican seat vacated by Meghan McCain in 2021.

The 34-year-old has long spoken out against her former boss, regularly warning American voters about the dangers of electing him to the White House in November — publicly admonishing him enough that her View cohost Sara Haines recently speculated during a live broadcast that Griffin is likely in trouble if Trump wins and chooses to exact revenge on his political enemies.

The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET on ABC.
