Come this fall, Ben Levi Ross will be donning Evan Hansen's signature arm cast and blue polo shirt — pictured here for the first time.

Ross is making the jump from Broadway to the national tour, having made his Broadway debut last fall as a cover for Connor, Jared, and Evan in Dear Evan Hansen. He will be stepping into the title role beginning with the tour's first date in Denver this October.

"Ben Ross has the instincts, humor, emotional transparency, and vocal chops to perfectly introduce this extraordinary character to so many cities across America," Dear Evan Hansen director Michael Greif said in a statement. "The creative team and I have been impressed with Ben since first meeting a year ago, and we've watched him develop as an understudy in our Broadway company into a great performer and interpreter of this remarkable role."

Ross inherits a role that won Ben Platt a Tony Award and made him a Broadway superstar. Since Platt's final bow in the show last fall, the role has been filled by Noah Galvin and Taylor Trensch. The musical won six Tonys last year, including Best Musical, Best Actor, and Best Score.

After launching in Denver, the touring production will continue on to Los Angeles and dozens more cities over a two-year period. Ticket information and tour dates can be found here.

Further casting information will be announced at a later date.
