It’s the question that’s been plaguing Grey’s Anatomy fans since the reveal that Jo Wilson isn’t who she says she is: What’s her real name?

In the season 12 finale, it was revealed that Jo Wilson (Camilla Luddington) was previously married to an abusive man, so she ran, changing her name to Jo Wilson from, well, Grey’s fans have not been privy to that information — and we’re not alone.

“I still don’t know her name!” Luddington tells EW. “I keep waiting for her to say it. If Alex [Justin Chambers] asks, I think he’d be the one person she’d tell, so I wish he did.”

While Jo and Alex may be on the road to recovery, that’s not the only burning question that remains. “I’m also super curious as to why she picked ‘Jo’ for her new name,” Luddington says. “Was there significance for her? I like to think she grew up reading Little Women and loved Jo March, who is one of my favorite headstrong female characters, and took it from that. But that’s just me fantasizing about the reason why. I’m excited for the episode that really answers it all.”

Hopefully, we’ll find out when Grey’s Anatomy returns Thursday, Jan. 19 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
