See Jane Lynch lose it on Criminal Minds

Mama’s back, and she’s more paranoid than ever.

In this exclusive clip from tonight’s episode of Criminal Minds, Jane Lynch reprises her role as Diana, mother to Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler). The Glee alum is returning for several episodes as a woman suffering early onset Alzheimer’s.

Diana is back with her son after she was found wandering a Las Vegas casino. Lynch has recurred in the role since 2006.

There are other big doings planned for this season of Criminal Minds. Executive Producer Erica Messer recently told EW that the CBS show — and recent People’s Choice Award winner — will get personal with one of its core characters and take him or her “on a journey they have never been before.” It’s a first for the drama, Messer added.

Criminal Minds airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
