Leftovers final season trailer teases world-ending flood

The Leftovers final season trailer is giving us some serious Lost vibes.

The footage reveals that Kevin Garvey’s (Justin Theroux) traveling companion to Australia is none other than Nora Durst (Carrie Coon). The duo is shown looking rather tense as they get processed through an airport on the way to Oz while a cheerful voiceover warns of apocalyptic global flooding and that “everything you know and love will soon be gone.” Is The Leftovers setting the stage for a Book of Genesis-like reset?

The final eight episodes debut Sunday, April 16 on HBO.
