Wanda Sykes, Margaret Cho, and more aren't playing around in truTV's Talk Show the Game Show

If you watch late night talk shows for the games, get ready for the truTV two-in-one deal that is Talk Show the Game Show.

Hosted by Guy Branum (The Mindy Project), the half-hour comedy series will pit celebrity guests against each other as they compete in talk show-inspired challenges and get judged — and roasted — by a panel of judges that include TV writer Karen Kilgariff (Portlandia) and journalist Casey Schreiner, who will deduct and award points based on their performances. The guest with the most points at the end of the night will win “Best Guest of the Night.”

As you can see in the trailer above, the show’s 16-episode first season will feature a range of comedy veterans flexing their funny bones as they compete for the title, including Wanda Sykes, Margaret Cho, Paul Feig, Aasif Mandvi, and Oscar Nunez.

Talk Show the Game Show will premiere on Wednesday, April 5 at 10 p.m. ET on truTV. Watch the trailer above and read on for the complete list of celebrity guests the show announced Monday.
