Young and the Restless has cast the Chenbot

Julie Chen is lathering up for a special appearance on The Young and the Restless.

The co-host of The Talk, affectionately known as the Chenbot to her Big Brother minions, is taping an episode of CBS’ daytime sudser Thursday that will air during the May sweeps period, EW has learned. Mishael Morgan’s journalist character Hilary Curtis is traveling to Los Angeles from Genoa City and is hoping to have Chen on her newsmagazine show.

Teases executive producer Mal Young, “Hilary will stop at nothing to interview her idol, Julie Chen.” Move out of the way, Sheryl Underwood!

Other characters from Y&R will be making appearances in the special Hollywood-based episodes, as well. They begin airing on May 15 while Chen will make her cameo on May 17.
