Former ANTM judges share adorable reunion: 'The family is back together'

A noted fashion photographer, runway diva extraordinaire, and platinum-haired Canadian walk into a… New York City crosswalk? It might not be the best setup for a joke, but it does lay the chic foundation for an America's Next Top Model reunion.

This week, three former ANTM judges — Nigel Barker, Miss J. Alexander, and Jay Manuel — posed for a series of social media photos in New York City, teasing their long-awaited reunion after departing the Tyra Banks-created reality competition series between 2012 and 2015.

"Yup this happened…the family is back together!" Manuel, who served as ANTM's creative director on cycles 1-18, wrote on Instagram, additionally sharing an image of his colleagues huddled around a computer screen.

Barker and Alexander then posted a photo showing the trio walking across a city street.

"First there was Naomi, Linda, and Christy.? Now this Trio back together catwalking on New York City Streets can only mean one thing hmmmmmmmmmm…? Trouble..!" Alexander wrote. Barker added: "Reunited and it feels so… about time we brought the band back together don't you think?"

While it might seem like an on-camera reunion is in the works for a future Top Model installment, VH1 — which began premiering new episodes of ANTM for the first time in December 2016 — had no comment on the pictures.

After solidifying themselves as staples on the ANTM scene, Barker, Alexander, and Manuel were relieved of their duties nearly five years ago as the Top Model brand retooled its image.

"We had an incredible run and there aren't any hard feelings. This isn't a Tyra thing. This is a network thing," Barker told E! Online in 2012. "It wasn't a shock. I'm friends with Tyra and the producers… There had been a discussion that ratings were down and that something like this would happen. There had been previous years where discussions about me being eliminated from the show had happened and I had actually survived the chopping block before."

Manuel and Alexander had also teamed for a Top Model spinoff in 2008 titled Operation Fabulous, the pilot for which saw the duo traveling to cities around America to teach average women how to jazz up their personal style. The project did not get picked up by a major network.

As Banks announced last weekend, ANTM's 24th cycle is currently casting ahead of its planned shooting schedule later this summer. Though it has imposed a strict 27-year age limit on contestants in the past, cycle 24 is open to models of all ages.

In March, Banks revealed she would return to the Top Model judging panel after a brief hiatus, reclaiming her on-camera role at the head of the show she launched back in 2003 following pop star Rita Ora's cycle 23 substitution.
