Designated Survivor government leaders can't agree ... again

President Kirkman has faced a number of overwhelming problems stemming from the fact that he has to build a government from scratch — though having a murderous vice president certainly doesn’t help. And on Wednesday’s episode of Designated Survivor, he will face yet another when he attempts to fill the Supreme Court justice bench.

As the exclusive clip above shows, Kirkman (Kiefer Sutherland) the Independent, will try to bring both Republicans and Democrats together to fill the vacant bench. However, he faces a familiar foe in Senator Jack Bowman (Mark Deklin), who is refusing to work with the bipartisan group.

In addition to dealing with these blocked nominations in Wednesday’s episode, “The Ninth Seat,” Kirkman will also have to determine how classified information is being leaked from the White House and what to do with Agent Hannah Wells’ recently discovered cache of terrorist bombs. If only he could call Jack Bauer, who would definitely know what to do.

Designated Survivor airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
