Jim Parsons, Rashida Jones, more talk great teachers and 'dookie' on Chelsea

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, Friday’s episode of Chelsea features an education-centric dinner party, in which Jim Parsons, Rashida Jones, Gaby Hoffmann, and Mary McCormack weigh in on the best teachers they’ve ever had, and we’ve got a sneak peek at what went down.

Host Chelsea Handler began by asking her guests about “thatteacher,” you know, the life-changing one.

Jones talked about Dr. Holbeck, who taught history and philosophy, and whose class she feels “shaped me as a person.” When McCormack asked if they dated, Jones admitted, “I would have, but he was an ethics teacher.”

McCormack, on the other hand, went for “Sister Kathleen, first grade,” who actually covered for her following an embarrassing incident as the class was lined up to go to the bathroom. “I had an accident in first grade, in my dress, and the boy in front of me went, ‘Mm, I smell dookie!'” she recalled. “Sister Kathleen made up a lie to the whole class and said I got sick and had to go home because I got sick…. Also, she was just great, and gentle, and sweet.”
