The Long Road Home: Michael Kelly, Kate Bosworth star in first trailer for Nat Geo miniseries

National Geographic’s move into original programming has resulted in the ambitious miniseries The Long Road Home. As evidenced in the exclusive trailer, it’s a project the cast and crew are extremely proud to be involved in.

Airing Tuesday during the season finale of Genius, the first look at the drama centered on the Iraq War battle known as “Black Sunday” debuts footage from the series and features interviews with some of the actors, including Kate Bosworth (Blue Crush).

“I think it’s a real privilege that we’re able to be a part of this project.” says the actress, who plays Gina Denomy, wife of Jason Ritter’s (Parenthood) Capt. Troy Denomy.

The sentiments were echoed by House of Cards star Michael Kelly, who portrays Lt. Col. Gary Volesky. “I owe it to them to do this as best that I can,” he shares. “Because the country should know.”

Other recognizable names in the adaptation of Martha Raddatz’s best-seller include Jeremy Sisto (Law & Order), Noel Fisher (Shameless), and Sarah Wayne Callies (Prison Break).

The Long Road Home premieres in the fall. Watch the trailer above.
