South Park marathon: Comedy Central to air all 254 episodes in 8 days

How much of Cartman's authority can you respect?

Comedy Central is going to try to find out. The network announced on Wednesday that it will air a massive South Park marathon that will consume its air early next month. All 254 episodes — that's 20 seasons of Kenny-killing exploits — of the animated series will air over an eight-day stretch, starting on Sept. 6, leading up to the season 21 premiere on Sept. 13 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. (A few of those days will contain a 30-minute break, as The Daily Show will air in its normal 11 p.m. ET/PT time slot.)

Trey Parker and Matt Stone's Emmy-winning animated series — which has found a winning formula for fart jokes cut with sharp social commentary — launched back in 1997, and is currently one of the longest-running primetime comedies.

Last year, FXX aired a 600-episode marathon of The Simpsons over 13 days.
