Trading Spaces reboot is reuniting the original designers, carpenters

'We're getting the band back together'

Trading Spaces is doubling down on the nostalgia factor.

The show is slated to return in spring 2018 to TLC after a decade off the air, and the network is bringing back several of the original design experts.

Doug Wilson, Carter Oosterhouse, Frank Bielec, Genevieve Gorder, Hildi Santo-Tomas, Laurie Smith, Ty Pennington, and Vern Yip will all be returning and joining previously announced host Paige Davis.

Many of the team went on to television careers after their work as designers on the TLC room redecorating series, but now they're reuniting for the first time in 10 years.

"The sport of getting something done for nothing in no time, I mean we've all made careers out of this," Gorder reflects in the teaser trailer for the Trading Spaces reboot.
