For the sixth consecutive year, Modern Family star Sofia Vergara sits atop Forbes‘ annual World’s Highest-Paid TV Actresses list.
Pulling in a whopping $41.5 million dollars, Vergara earned over $15 million dollars more than any other TV actress this year, with Kaley Cuoco of The Big Bang Theory coming in second place ($26 million).
With all her big-name endorsement deals in recent years —perhaps most notably for Head & Shoulders, CoverGirl, and Pepsi — Vergara also raked in more than $29 million more than her Modern Family costar, Julie Bowen, who still cracked the top 10, earning $12 million dollars.
It is also worth noting that stars of long-running series such as Ellen Pompeo (Grey’s Anatomy, which is entering its 14th season) and Mariska Hargitay (Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, on the cusp of season 19) earn big bucks per episode… and that adds up. Pompeo tied Mindy Kaling for third on the Forbes list with $13 million dollars earned, and Hargitay placed fifth, making $12.5 million dollars. Pompeo’s sister in Shondaland, Kerry Washington, sits at seventh with $11 million in earnings.
