“A white cop and a black kid? There are no f—ing accidents anymore.”

In Seven Seconds, a new series from Netflix created by Veena Sud (The Killing), Regina King plays Latrice Butler, the mother of a black teenager in New Jersey who is accidentally run over by a white police officer. The ensuing cover-up forces everyone involved to confront the racial tension that exists in our nation. The series also stars Clare-Hope Ashitey and Russell Hornsby, among others.
