World of Dance season 2 sneak peek teases the show's first-ever perfect score

The East Coast may have just been hit by a snowstorm, but summer is right around the bend… which means dance television is about to pop, lock, shimmy, and shake its way into your living rooms. And the second season of World of Dance is promising perfection as soon as the temperatures start climbing.

The series, which features judges Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo, and Derek Hough, as well as host/mentor Jenna Dewan Tatum, is set to return to NBC on Tuesday, May 29, and the winning dancers once again will take home a $1 million prize. Of course, there may be a few more hoops this time around as well.

The new season will include 16 episodes — as opposed to the 10 from its freshman outing — and the hand-picked dancers will compete in four divisions instead of last year’s three. They are: Junior (17 years old and under, 1-4 dancers), Junior Team (17 years old and under, 5-15 dancers), Upper (18 years old and older, 1-4 dancers), and Upper Team ((18 years old and older, 5-15 dancers). In other words, expect a bunch more insanely talented kids vying for the big bucks.

Watch an exclusive sneak peek at the season above, where we see the judging trio award one of the acts the first-ever perfect averaged score of 100.

Season 1 of World of Dance, which was won by Les Twins, was the most-watched new summer alternative series on a broadcast network in 10 years, and was the No. 1 new summer show.

World of Dance season 2 high-kicks off on May 29 at 10 p.m. on NBC.
