The Big Bang Theory: First look at Sheldon and Amy's wedding

Sheldon and Amy are heading to the altar in The Big Bang Theory’s season finale — and EW has an exclusive first look.

After the slowest courtship in TV history, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) will finally get married in the season 11 finale, but not without a few twists.

“There are still some roadblocks in the way,” executive producer Steve Holland tells EW. “Hopefully fun ones in ways that you’re not going to expect.”

Those may or may not have to do with the large number of big-name guest stars attending the wedding, including Laurie Metcalf returning as Sheldon’s mom alongside Kathy Bates and magician Teller as Amy’s parents, while Mark Hamill appears in a top-secret role. The Big Bang Theory finale airs Thursday, May 10, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
