RuPaul gives tiny Drag Tots a shady reading lesson in adorable clip

It’s never too early to slip into your first pair of heels, contour your cheekbones, or learn the basics of drag culture. And RuPaul is making sure the children know their her-story in EW’s exclusive sneak peek at World of Wonder’s upcoming animated series Drag Tots, which features an all-star voice cast of former RuPaul’s Drag Race contestants playing bite-sized baby queens in grammar school.

“I heard the library was open because we got a big reading assignment,” Roxy Moron (voiced by season 6 runner-up Adore Delano), says in the preview (above) for the animated series as she carries a stack of books, which boast titles riffing on popular works of literature like Gone with the Weave, All Quiet on the Western Lace-Front, and Moby Tuck. Drag Race judge Michelle Visage’s autobiography also appears among the publications, though Dina Saur (season 6 winner Bianca Del Rio) calls it the purest work of “fiction” among them.

“Roxy, it’s not that kind of a reading assignment,” the school mascot — a talking unicorn named Corny (RuPaul) — explains. “Reading is part of our drag her-story. It’s how queens communicate and tease each other.”

“You’re not a true queen until you can read!” Lady Liber T (season 4 star Latrice Royale) responds. “Because reading is what? Fundamental!”

Drag Tots is set to premiere June 28 on the WOW Presents Plus streaming service, monthly subscriptions for which are available here for $3.99. Other shows debuting as part of the platform’s Sickening Summer Series include the fashion-focused reality show Iconic with Brad Goreski, how-to comedy program Miz Cracker’s JewTorials, and the RuPaul’s Drag Race-centered docuseries Follow Me starring Vanessa Vanjie Mateo, Aja, and Gia Gunn.
