Rose Leslie told Kit Harington she never wants to say that Game of Thrones line

The problem with a catchphrase is it’s, well, catchy. And when your hit TV show’s character’s catchphrase involves another character, and then you end up marrying the actor who played that character … you’re probably never going to hear the end of it, right?

On the Third Hour of Today show Friday, Kit Harington revealed that his wife and former Game of Thrones co-star, Rose Leslie, doesn’t ever want to say her character’s famous line to him. You know the one.

NBC’s Keir Simmons noted, “It’s the kind of thing my wife would say to me after many years of marriage — ‘you know nothing, Jon Snow’ — and you made the smart move of marrying somebody who already said that to you.”

“She already said that and doesn’t ever want to say that to me again,” Harington replied.

Harington was promoting his upcoming movie, How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, which he dubbed the “family friendly version of Game of Thrones.”

Recently Harington told U.K. radio station KISS FM’s morning show that he made the mistake of telling Leslie how the HBO series ends — at her request.

“I told my wife last year how it ended, and she wouldn’t talk to me for about three days,” he told hosts Tom Green and Daisy Maskell, confirmed by EW. “And she’d asked!”

Leslie played Ygritte, the love interest of Kit Harington’s Jon Snow, on the show for three seasons. The duo was married last July. Game of Thrones returns for its final season April 14.
